William Shatner 81st Birthday Tribute: Pray for Wildcats (1974 USA)
What:
To mark this milestone, Psychotronic Film Society of Savannah has unearthed one of the rarest films he ever made – one which has never been released theatrically or officially released on home video.
This is a rare opportunity to see a slice of prime Shatner and his toupee in all their campy, hammy glory!
The Plot
Griffith plays a captain of industry who hires an ad agency run by Shatner and Gortner. The agency tries to sell Griffith on a campaign to be shot in Baja, California – but Griffith won’t sign the contract without all of them seeing Baja first-hand: on a dirt-bike road trip fraught with danger. Desperate to nab him as a client, the men reluctantly agree to the trip, but soon learn Griffith’s outrageous behavior may jeopardize their careers, their families and even their lives.
Trust them – you’ve NEVER seen Andy Griffith like this before – as a sociopathic, sexist, drunk and hate-filled whack-job.
