Why is it that so many drivers leave a large space between themselves and the car ahead at an intersection with traffic lights? I can see maybe a half a car length or one, but some are 2 or 3 behind. That means that people that need to turn can’t get into the lane. And I bet the very same people that leave such large spaces are the ones that tailgate out on a highway or in town.

My biggest peeve is drivers that do not use turn signals properly, if they use them at all. The purpose of using a turn signal is to alert others drivers of your impending turn. If you are the driver behind, the turn signal alerts you that the vehilce ahead of you will slow down to turn soon. If you are the driver across the street, it informs you of the direction the vihicle will turn. It does no good at all to turn on your signal once you have slowed down. The vehicle will turn without it. If I’m at a stop sign across from you and you have no signal, how will I know which direction you will turn?
