My biggest peeve is drivers that do not use turn signals properly, if they use them at all. The purpose of using a turn signal is to alert others drivers of your impending turn. If you are the driver behind, the turn signal alerts you that the vehilce ahead of you will slow down to turn soon. If you are the driver across the street, it informs you of the direction the vihicle will turn. It does no good at all to turn on your signal once you have slowed down. The vehicle will turn without it. If I’m at a stop sign across from you and you have no signal, how will I know which direction you will turn?

yeah… I don’t think it’s just a Savannah thing, but the non-use of blinkers drives me up the wall too.  I drive a manual and having a little advance warning of someone’s turn usually allows me to back off the gas to give them enough room to do their thing without having to come out of gear.  Even for the people driving automatics… smoother driving means better gas mileage.  Fewer surprises keeps everyone on the same page and traffic stays nice and smooth.

Same here in Michigan.  Auto makers could save a lot of money by not even installing signals.  In Alabama last year a guy got two tickets for not signaling for a lane changes. I think that police officer should get a commendation.
