Key to Savannah member Marcie asked where to find country line dancing in Savannah. Here’s the info I found, but maybe some of you guys have some suggestions? Here’s a copy of my email to Marcie:

“Hi Marcie,

I did a little research, and so far this is the only active looking line dancing we could find in the Savannah area. I retrieved this information from http://usadancesavannah.org/ which looked to be recently updated. Here’s the info copied from their page:

“Dancing at Doubles Lounge
The Holiday Inn/Midtown in Doubles Lounge (7100 Abercorn Street) Monday: FREE dance lessons 6:30 to 7:30 PM; the lessons vary each week. Social dancing begins at 7:30 with all type of music formats (shag, swing, cha cha, line dance, etc.). Can be reach at 912-398-8784.”

Keep in mind that these are lessons. However, I also found this list of people in the Savannah area who are interested in line dancing (http://linedancing.meetup.com/cities/us/ga/savannah/), so maybe you guys could start up a group. If you do, or if you find a line dancing venue, submit the dates you meet to our events calendar and we’ll let others know for future reference!”
